Starry Nite Best Wedding Tip - Day Weddings are Great Too!
More brides (and Grooms) are opting for the afternoon/early reception to save some money. I whole-heartedly agree - the afternoon wedding Reception (and Ceremony, which is usually on-site) will cost less. Here are my observations from 20 years in the business... 
1) Most Day Weddings (Saturday or Sunday) are smaller

2) The Guests are mostly Older (Aunts, Uncles, etc); there are some young friends.

3) People DON'T drink as much (it's daytime!)

4) the dancing is different...

- Because it's usually and older crowd the dance floor is packed during dinner, when old love songs are being played.

- It usually takes a few songs to coerce the younger people onto the floor during the main dance session (1) less people are dancing, so they're self-conscious,
2) They're not THAT Drunk (compared to an evening wedding!),
3) Daylight all around has a psychological effect - Nightime is for partying with reckless abandon!

However, it DOES give the Aunts and Uncles a time to shine! Play some 50's or Disco, or even 80's, and you'll see mom and dad really cutting up the dance floor.

So Again, day weddings share lots of Slow Dancing, and give the relatives a time to shine and really party, which may even entice your Younger friends to Boogie down. Mix in a bit of Pitbull toward the end and you have a terrific wedding!
