Starry Nite DJs Best Tip - How Not to Dress the Groom!
In 20 Years Wedding Experience I've come to one conclusion regarding the Groom - Dress Him Yourself! If it's a Casual Wedding be doubly suspicious!
If the Groom is renting a Tux, it's Always worth a bit more money to get a very classic style. Remember, you'll be looking at these pictures 20 years later, and you really want attire that stands the test of time. Cumberbunds are No Longer Fashionable (not even for Old Men).
Also, have him steer clear of the jokes - you do NOT need a Mickey Mouse Bow Tie mucking up the pictures! Nor a Red Sox hat, nor sneakers with a Tux. I understand you all want to seem Devil-May-Care and non-chalant, but IT'S YOUR WEDDING!
Even if it's casual, have your Beau and his Groomsmen buy very classy suits. This IS the time to spend the money - then he can use the suit to find a job and support the household!
Here's a few DON'Ts...
1) Don't let him wear something you'll think is AWFUL when looking at the pix 20 years from now!
2) Don't be Outrageous, even if you're a Happy-go-Lucky Couple! Your wedding is a very serious event - the most serious event you'll EVER attend. Think of what you - the Bride - are wearing, and the tradition behind the gown. What would've happened if Prince Charming showed up in Nikes?
3) Don't Rent on the Cheap! Have him spend a bit more money on a Very Classic, expensive tux at the rental store. The memories will pay for themselves.
4) Just Don't let him dress himself!
